OUTLOOK FOR THE NEXT DECADE IN
AI, MACHINE LEARNING & HEALTH
The AI in Health Conference is your opportunity to connect with and learn from researchers, engineers, clinicians, and entrepreneurs at the forefront of artificial intelligence in healthcare and public health. Brought to you by the Ken Kennedy Institute at Rice University, the program will address the current state of artificial intelligence in health and showcase a research-based outlook on the next 10 years.
The AI in Health Conference will take place in Houston, home of the largest medical center in the world - the Texas Medical Center - which hosts 60+ member institutions that are visited by 10 million patients each year. The intersection of healthcare and artificial intelligence holds potential, unlike any other innovation the medical industry has seen before. Artificial intelligence’s ability to operate and automate tasks at heightened speed, efficiency, and accuracy has already made an impact on day-to-day hospital care and administrative functions.
On November 7, join us for a free pre-conference workshop (separate registration) on RAD Genomics: Workshop on Reading, Assembling, Analyzing, & Designing Genomic Data. The conference will be held on November 8-9 with an exciting two days of keynote speakers, technical talks, an exhibit hall, networking receptions, and poster presentations. Sign up for our newsletter for program updates.

CONFERENCE NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES
Join us Tuesday, November 8th for a Sponsor Networking Session to meet with representatives from our seven sponsors, including Oracle for Research. The evening includes wine tasting with sommeliers, a specialty cheese selection from Houston Dairymaids, and a hot chocolate station.
The following day will feature an ice cream bar in between sessions before wrapping up the 2022 AI in Health Conference with a Poster Networking Session to showcase exciting research happening in the field.

RAD GENOMICS WORKSHOP
READING, ASSEMBLING, ANALYZING, & DESIGNING GENOMIC DATA
Monday, November 7, 2022
This Rice Ken Kennedy Institute sponsored workshop will focus on bringing together scientists spanning multiple disciplines with interest in learning more about the rad world of genomics. Join an inspiring discussion and scientific engagement specific to reading, assembling, analyzing, and designing genomic data. This is a free workshop that requires a separate registration.
Organizers: Todd Treangen (Rice University) & Vicky Yao (Rice University)
The goal of this workshop is three-fold:
1) Serve as a primer on these foundational topics in genome informatics for the uninitiated.
2) Encourage discussion and engagement.
3) Provide a new platform for networking and collaboration in genome informatics in the Gulf Coast region.
